The three cottages are different in character, but
share a clear style using country furniture, original art, solid
English oak and smithied ironwork. Some of the oak comes from the
farm itself. Comfort rules - the heating is a generous mix of underfloor,
radiators and wood stoves, (which will be lit when you arrive in
chilly weather) and is included in our prices.
Each property boasts a well-equipped kitchen: a double ceramic
sink, electric cooker & ceramic hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher,
microwave, toaster, good pots & pans, toastie maker, electric
whisk, right down to potato peeler and lemon squeezer. The ample
cutlery, crockery and glassware is stylish and simple.
All the bathrooms have underfloor heating, heated towel rails
and large showers.
We've tried to think of the basics you might need when you arrive:
tea, coffee, milk, sugar and biscuits for a start. There will be
loo roll in the bathrooms, kitchen linen, condiments … and
a pinnie by the sink.
You'll find everywhere pristine, with the beds made up.
We use best down duvets, crisp cotton bedding topped with bundles
of towels and lush toiletries. (all the double beds are 5 footers).
There is a good library of books, games, toys and DVDs; plenty
of walking guides, tourist leaflets and OS maps to borrow, plus
our own local knowledge. Take a look at our list of out-and-about
things to do so you can plan ahead or simply decide when you get here. |
